Senior DevOps Engineer

We've partnered with an up and coming AI start-up to assist in building their thriving team. Equipped with their latest round of funding, they're building a game-changing software programmable AI-processor optimized for deep learning/AI/ML and IoT applications. We're assisting in the search for experienced DevOps engineers to join their team in full-time, permanent roles. This is a great opportunity to become one of the first members of a growing technical team working on cutting edge technology.
What you will do:
- Prototype and build new tools and technologies
- Research, validate and implement updates to hardware, firmware and software products
- build and define system standards; ensure system standards are implemented company wide
- Provide expert technical guidance for the resolution of issues and strategic design
- Collaborate with development teams within a DevOps approach, applying relevant tooling
- Monitor to ensure all systems are operating as expected; define operational strategies, procedures and security policies for preventative actions; take preventative action according to defined operational strategies, procedures and security policies
What you bring - strong expertise in some (or all) of the following:
- • 3+ years experience as a DevOps, Operations, or SW Engineer - or similar fields
• 3+ years experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) toolchains like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
• 3+ years experience of private cloud or on-prem infrastructure operations - ideally Amazon AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• CI/CD - gitlab, jenkins, cron
• 3+ years experience working with Python or similar programming languages
• 3+ years working with databases - ideally SQL-like (elasticsearch, mongodb)
• 2+ years Experience with Docker, VmWare
• Experience with code management (git, github, gitlab)
• workload managers (slurm, lsf)
• scripting (python, shell)
• Passion for operations
• Experience working with AI/ML software frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow)
• Understand basic security principles for cloud hosted applications, including VPC Network Policies and Cloud IAM and RBAC Policies
Bonus Qualifications:
• Experience operating and deploying Kubernetes clusters
• Experience operating on-prem compute environments, including virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V), networking, and high performance clustered storage
